Since Brazilian historiography has been paying special attention to the local powers, the study of municipal councils and their representatives have obtained a larger importance concerning both local and imperial impact. Thus, the article aims to present the social profile of those who pertained to the council through the analyses of other occupations also held by the council representatives and the military ranks and commissions they received.Downloads
