This article searches to reconstruct the context of tensions, contradictions and conflicts that embased Brazilian National-State building, considering the creation process of the public power in Minas Gerais province, between 1821-1831. Specifically, it focuses the relationship between local - the Câmaras - and regional powers - the Juntas Provisórias (1821-1824), followed by the Conselho Geral and Presidência da Província (since 1824) -, understanding the dificulties envolving in the creation of representative instances of province public interests as emerging from the confronts between alternative projects to transform communities in nation.Downloads
