Abstract

This article analyses how female characters' nudity is explored on the first and fifth season of Game of Thrones, TV show produced by HBO, having as research object the episodes in which there are the presence of characters Daenerys Targaryen and Cersei Lannister, protagonists. Our main goal is to understand how the power positions occupied by them and how their bodies are presented during the show might be related, having as theory basis Michael Foucault to show the higher the power status of a female character, the less the nudity of her body will be explored on the scenes, the inverse happening the same way: the higher her vulnerability, the more explosed her body will be in terms of nudity.
