The present work intends to analyze the series of video articles Low Batteries, from Eurogamer, with the objective of understanding how video game journalism can fulfill the social function of the journalistic activity, representing the public interest. The theoretical foundation of the case study comes from the exploration of the interactions between the specialized media, the public, the videogame industry and the society, as well as gamer culture role as promoter of public interest themes.
