“The library as a place of learning”: a possible dream or a utopia?

A review is a type of text that evaluates a work and, in an opinionated way, discusses it. In this case, we focus on the recent publication of the book “A biblioteca como lugar de aprendizagem”, by author Bernadete Campello. Composed of 29 chapters, the book presents, in an engaging and engaging manner, various themes from the world of the school library, such as: information skills; the research process; teacher-librarian collaboration; the construction of the librarian's educational role; reader development; school library networks and parameters; collection development and organization; technology in the school library, among others. The work is intended for a broad audience interested in the themes of Education and Library Science, not limited to the academic public. The importance of the library in the school is evident as a resource that needs attention from school management so that it can become an effective participant in the school's dynamics and the students' teaching-learning process.
