This article places the telenovela (soap opera) Dancing' Days within a process of economic, social, political and ideological transformation. Such transformation was followed by a deep change on material basis. It took place between the late 70's and 80's. The most evident aspect of this transformation can be seen on the rise of the consume culture and the rapid technological expansion, resulting in an aesthetical, tastelike, visualwise redirection. Its elements can be identified on the items of production (scenery, figurine, visual techniques).Downloads
