Names, email addresses, and other personal data provided to Caracol will be used exclusively for user registration, communication with authors, peer reviewers, and readers, management of the editorial process, and other services provided by the journal.

These data will not be used for commercial purposes or made available to third parties for purposes unrelated to the operation of the journal, except with the data subject’s consent, when required by law, or when necessary for the operation of the institutional services provided by the University of São Paulo Journals Portal.

During the double-anonymous peer-review process, the journal adopts measures to protect the identities of authors and peer reviewers, in accordance with its peer-review policy.

The processing of personal data through this platform complies with the Privacy Policy of the University of São Paulo Journals Portal.
