Abstract

Leo Strauss defends the redemption of natural right in his book "Histoire et Droit Naturel". However, the defense of natural law implies combating some forms of thought entrenched in today's society as historicism and positivism. Besides them, Strauss also departs from the thought that advocates for the concept of neutrality of values. The objective of this paper is to outline some considerations on the natural right at the thought of Leo Strauss. The main theoretical source of the work is that mentioned. First of all, I will work with  the characterization of natural right. After this, I will  deal with  the theories which criticizes this concept. And, finally, I will discuss the meaning of natural right today.
