Abstract

This article presents and analyzes contemporary conditions of political action, notably those that are mechanical or functional in nature, indicating strategies for acting independent of related discourse or political undertakings. We argue that systems that produce subjectivities are most productive at the intersection between discourse and function, producing processes for guiding individual and collective life in which the control and governing of political action operate.
