Mario Tronti’s article “Lenin in England”, published in the first edition of Classe operaia, in 1964, and now translated to Portuguese by Homero Santiago, may be taken as the defining document on workerism, an Italian Marxist line of thought and action in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Our goal in this paper is to present what was happening in Italy at the time that the text came out, as well as a brief account on the author’s steps, militant at the now extinct Italian Communist Party and currently senator at that country.Downloads
