Condorcet, in writing the book, mirrors the way he draws inspiration for his work both as philosopher and as political during the events of the French Revolution. This discussion of the work of Voltaire pointed out also that Condorcet shows, in a way, his vision of how to be a philosopher, what is his role facing the challenges of his time and how one should act to combat the ills present among men.
