The question of contingency is a central concern in the thought of Blaise Pascal and is related with various aspects of his analises. In the field of scientific research, as well as in the existential and political considerations, chance has a central place in the philosopher’s reflextions concerning human condition. It aims to clarify the stead of chance on Pascal’s thought and the ethical impositions demanded by it.
