Deleuze and Guattari say, in The Anti-Oedipus, that, according to Marx, there’s only universal history of the contingences. What’s at stake with this valorization of the contingent aspect of universal history according to Deleuze and Guattari’s reading of Marx? Our hypothesis is that the exam of a few texts of Althusser and Balibar about Marx may help us to comprehend the sense of this valorization.
