How do natural phenomena become disasters for human being?

Abstract

The objective of this work is twofold: first, some comments on the use made by the philosopher of the occurrence of these natural phenomena as explanatory factors for deep changes occurred in human behavior, a feature present in both argumentative narratives hypothetical, then address the reasons that Rousseau provides for these events are no longer simple facts natural disasters and become true for humans, which can be found, eg, in the Letter to Voltaire on Providence
