Abstract

The aim of this paper is to think like the settings that Rousseau has set the terms freedom, convention, law and legitimacy and how he articulated, anticipated, largely, the key concepts of the new republican and democratic regimes instituted from the revolutions that occurred in America and France in the late eighteenth century.
