Vico in the cyclical history: the studies translation myth

The article discusses the thinking of Vico, especially those expressed in the inaugural prayer for 1709, as a return to common place medieval and humanist of the revival of the past classic. Want to show that the political vision of Vico feeds itself, on the one hand, a rigid conception of jurisprudence, typical of the empire of Augusto, and, secondly, that ciceronian conception of eloquence, making room for the defence of the individual before the rigidity of the laws.
