This study describes the personal pronominal forms in a community of African hue in Pará aiming to compare it with the system of personal pronouns in Brazilian Portuguese certificated in the literature. We present considerations on the subject "rural communities - quilombos" emphasizing the importance of greater knowledge of these communities to a better understanding of the history of African peoples and languages in Brazil.Downloads
