Considerations on the production chain of artisanal fish in Baixada Santista/SP

This paper aims to contribute with information about the fishermen in Baixada Santista/SP, dealing with the fishery chain production in four communities: Sítio Conceiçãozinha, Sítio Cachoeira, Ilha Diana and Vila dos Pescadores. The fisherman can present one or different ways of dealing with its production during a period of time or even in a period of life. The production can remain stable or it can change and even co-exist in itself simultaneously. The productive chain is not stable, it can occur variations during the year, referring to different kinds of resources, through the life process and opportunities which may appear. The production flowing was identified by familiar consumption, donation, exchange, trade and losses. The fishermen presented great diversity and suitability in the chain productive insertion.Downloads
