The omission of Om's name among those convicted of trying to remove Moses and Aaron from their positions of leaders during the rebellion of Korah in the book of Numbers of the Hebrew Bible has a midrashic explanation that turns rebel leaders into passive and submissive men and transfers the role of events to their women.
