Abstract

The writer and pioneer Nechama Pohatchevsky led the Zionist movement in the Land of Israel through both manual and intellectual work, with the publication of numerous literary works. The short story "Sara Zarchi" presents her struggle for women's equal rights amidst the creation of a Jewish State. This is the translation of a short story, in a series of three, with the theme of women pioneers in Hebrew Literature who wrote about feminism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
