Abstract

A pioneer of the Hebrew Literature, a Russian-Christian poet who wrote in Hebrew, Elisheva deals in her short story Shiguionot (Fantasies) about the internal feminine confrontation between the yearning to be free in their choices, acting and thinking, and the need of marriage and the consequent stabilization of the woman and her interior. This is the second translated short story, in a series of three, with the theme of women pioneers in Hebrew Literature who wrote about feminism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
