The production of knowledge and the constitution of subjects: dialogues with the different Vygotsky, Bakhtin and Freire

This article traces a discussion on the production of knowledge and the constitution of subjects, based on the interactionist view and the theoretical conceptions of Vygotsky, Bakhtin, and Freire. From these authors’ perspectives, production of knowledge occurs in the relations between the subjects in dialogical processes. This article stablishes a dialogue between their reflections, by juxtaposing and converging ideas, emphasizing the processes of constitution of the subjects (subject, language, interactions) and the production of knowledge as a dialogical process (cognitive subjects). Among the results, the “bridge-dialogue” stands out, which intertwines the view of these authors concerning the categories of unfinished subject, dialogism, and dialogues with the other as forms of transformation of the subject, the society, and the knowledge produced.
