José Wilker talks about the beginning of his career as a theater actor in Recife about his passion for cinema and about the various productions in which he takes part in this new phase of Brazilian motion picture production. He states that TV soap-operas are not undergoing a crisis, and that Brazilian television is an expression of the contradiction of being at the same time a public concession and a profit-seeking enterprise.
