The author discusses the role of school and teachers in forming students as mass media receptors. He gives the school, the teacher and the parents a role of mediators in the reception process, aiming to a better use of the information given by the media for kids' critic and active intelectual formation. Australia, England, Switzerland, Germany, Chile and the Nordic countries are pointed as models as they introduced the education for the means into the educational curriculum.
