Community TVs in the United States are an authentic and extremely representative social movement. Media Centers support community channels through the production of programs and team training. These activities are financed by resources coming from the companies that detain the municipal monopoly on cable service exploitation, from local government and from other entities. The PEG tripod, with public channels (community), educational and governmental channels, all on the municipal scale, has direct repercussion on changing local relations and on the formal and non-formal educational processes.
