Abstract

The author proposes the study of the great characters in History. Using films such as Arquitetura da destruição, Ghandhi and Nenhum a menos, emphasis is given to characters such as Hitler, Ghandhi and Wei Minzhi, a Chinese grade school teacher. Her proposal is that these characters be studied contextualized in their historical period, stressing the profound political changes that took place during their periods and the contributions each one of them made to our day and age.
