Abstract

The author reflects on Modernity and Modernity-world, discussing how philosophical, scientific and artistic creations walk between reason and fabrication, between disenchantment and reencountering the world while the historical and social context is marked by hope in the future and by belief in utopia. This reflection is explained as an example of the main ideals that circulated and circulate in each historical moment: Renascence, Illuminism, Romanticism, Relativism and Globalism. The conclusion makes one reflect on the hypothesis that Globalism may be the moment in history in which Socialism is formed as a mode of production.
