Abstract

Print press bicentennial celebration is the starting point to issue the Brazilian society exclusion question in the field of mass media audience. In order to face this social gap created by illiteracy
and stressed by elite press, the author rescue the trajectory of Alfredo de Carvalho \Network, focusing its compromise with
print media democratization.
