New technologies of communication: times and materiality of public school

The article intends to analyze the structuring of school times in relation to the changes happened in the communicationtechnologies and their effects in the organization of those times in school. For that, the author presents the students’ opinion about the class modules instituted by a project of pedagogic renewal in the municipal net of elementary schools in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The students’ arguments will raise a reflection on the role of the media in the new dynamics of the learning and it will focus attention to the needs that those dimensions must be outstanding in the elaboration of the education programs committed with the social inclusion.
