The author proposes the discussion of the motion picture To the Left of the Father, Raduan Nassar’s novel transposed to cinema by Luiz Fernando Carvalho. Her objective is to make possible raisingup questions that incite the perception of the work in all of its dimensions and the formulation of proposals for interpretations
and studies related to the film, with the help of several authors to select its key elements.
