Abstract

The activities proposed in this issue are organized in four dimensions: freedom of expression in press; the several
meanings of citizenship; the youngster voice, and violence culture or amusement culture. The first one is related to the 40th anniversary of the emergency law AI-5. The second one deals with the change that occurred in communication since the
creation of press, when people still could not figure the future range of technology and media development taking to the
almost instantaneous internationalization of information. The third one reveals the youngster voice through the creation of sites or blogs that change the classroom dynamics. The fourth activity has the objective of discussing violence transmitted by television, in open or paid channels.
