A course given to doctorate students on Metamorphosis of the Images both in Arts and Communication, is the conceptual basis to this article. Inspired in some of the works of the Spanish painter, Salvador Dalí, the author briefly analyzes subversive intra and intertextual transformations in images, as for instance, a photo into a picture, followed by transmutation of the picture into installation, an installation inspiring the manufacture of refined signature objects. When suitable, some artistic procedures are compared with similar procedures repeated in mass communication. Visual semiotics is the theory that supports the analysis of the art works.
