Abstract

The Núcleo de Estudos da Violência (Center for the Study of Violence - CSV), recently completed ten years of existence and it has contributed in na important way to society through research and academic studies on violence, human rights and the state-of-law in Brazil. The CSV works together with the Teotônio Vilela's Commission for Human Rights, in addition to coordinating inumerous research projects with national and international government institutions.
