Abstract

The author talks about the project she developed with eighth grade students on ethics and the means of communication. In an attempt to become adequate to the new institutional education demands, she presents the path followed, the reading offered as a base for the debates, the critical analysis made of the newscasts, advertising texts, studio audience programs and the soap opera. She presents a few texts produced by the students, as well as the future stages the work hopes to develop.
