This work aims at understanding how, in Latin America and in the United States, the public policies (especially those aimed at the "technological mediations in education") and the teaching practices (especially projects directed at "education for communication") have lead the Communication/Education interrelation to constituting a new interdisciplinary social intervention area, deeply connected to projects that defend and promote citizenship, implemented through the perspective of "democratic management of communication."
