Abstract

The text aims at reconstructing the trajectory of electronic multimedia ever since the first automation and numerical calculation discoveries in the 18th Century, in Europe, going through the creation of coded information world networks, during the Cold War, and finally arriving at the North American innovations, in the 70's, that resulted in the appearance of the Personal computer. The development of this technological universe confronts us with an informational society that spreads regardless of our wish or of our initiative. Thus, our best option is to know and dominate its technique and language, so we become less naive in this universe in which, whether we like it or not, we already participate.
