The present work brings discusses the text Comme deux frères by Maryse Condé regarding the poetics of insinuation. She sees that the poetics of insinuation in the work takes place, in particular, through the resources of false dialogue, expressive blocking, the various uses of the point of reticence and sexual metaphors. In this text, Maryse Condé expresses the taboo of Antillean homosexuality within the framework of a classic French-language dramaturgy.
