Abstract

After considering the constants that approach and distance Marcelino Freire from the Afro-Brazilian literature, this article aims to analyze as much the book Contos negreiros, in a general way, as the "Solar of Princes", of a specific form, observing the identitary unfolding of the Negro in the contemporary context. To do so, the reflections of Bernd (1988), Duarte (2011), Mérian (2008) and Stuart Hall (2006) will be used as a theoretical scope.
