Abstract

The article purposes to show that there is a connection, in Rousseau’s thought, between the necessity of forming a philosophical identity as a requisite to the practice philosophy itself and the constitution, in a speculative level, of the notion of contract as a regulative idea, in the sense that Kant, as a close reader of the Social Contract, gives to the term.
