Abstract

This article aims to situate the position of Claude Lefort in the old and still current debate on the relations between modes of expression, particularly the modes of expression by word and image. We sustain, after the exposition of the detail of the philosopher’s text, that his position in the debate is political, and that the relationships he noticed between modes of expression is democratic one.
