Uma nova cidade para as águas urbanas

Abstract

This article presents the paradigms that could be reviewed to avoid the repetition of the water supply crises in the great metropolitan regions of São Paulo macro-metropolis. It begins by a brief historic of São Paulo Metropolitan Region's urban development and its relation with the water resources, highlighting exemplary plans and projects to a new urban conception for the urban waters. It remarks the opportunities opened by the revision of the urban legal frame in São Paulo, started by the new Strategic Master Plan, where are proposed tools for planning and management able to support a new urban form for the urban waters.
