Uma medida do tamanho da economia informal no Brasil

The work measures the share of the unofficial economy in Brazil, comparing sectorial datas of national accounts and those declared to income tax in 1996. It finds that 40% of total revenue of business sector escapes taxation. It was not found significant correlation between level of informality and atomization among the 25 sectors included in the paper.
