NIITA KALAGA, LUGAL URI: A memória de Gilgamesh como mecanismo para a construção da ideia de rei-deus no período de Ur-III

Resumo

No presente artigo, as referências à Primeira Dinastia de Uruk, nos textos literários escritos durante o reinado de Shulgi  de Ur III (2.094 – 2.047 a.E. C.), são consideradas como  conceito de memória cultural. Por meio dessa análise, a tradição acerca destes reis míticos influenciou o processo de transformação de Shulgi em deus, sendo esse processo entendido como estratégia política frente à crise suscitada pela morte precoce de seu antecessor. Dessa forma, o artigo visa discorrer sobre a recuperação da memória de um passado sumério idealizado como ferramenta para a construção de uma figura carismática num contexto de busca por legitimação do poder territorial.
