A invenção do futuro: repensando os significados de Revolução nos séculos XVII e XVIII

O presente artigo tem como objetivo esquematizar a bibliografia acerca das significações do conceito “revolução” nos processos revolucionários dos séculos XVII e XVIII, tanto na produção escrita simultânea aos eventos históricos quanto na historiografia posterior. Seu enfoque parte da narrativa histórica das Revoluções Britânicas, da Revolução do Haiti e da Revolução Francesa a fim de alcançar as noções polibianas de revolução de governo, revolução total e revolução limitada.
