Abstract

This text intends to do a short comment about the beginning of Merleau-Ponty’ s essay L’Oeil et l’Esprit. Making a cutting in the largest movement of ontological reconfiguration suggested by the essay, we try to indicate here how the body’s analysis done by the philosopher already points to another type of being, leading to the recognition of an internal relation between subject and object. We try to show that the body already presents the reversible structure that will be noticed in all perceived, mark of Merleau-Ponty’s ontology based in the relation between the visible and the invisible.
