The literary and cultural modernity experienced the rise of a writer profile that conjugated creative writing with the development of reflections on art, literature and culture. Since up the 1960s, with the consolidation and expansion of graduate courses in Brazilian universities, the figure of the multiple writer/intelectual, who also acts as professor in higher education institutions and produces critical theories, appeared in the cultural scene. Therefore, we aim to analyze the production of the paulista multiple writer Décio Pignatari (1937-2012), perceiving the discursive dialogues effected between his literary production on Brazilian Concretism and his academic acting (teaching and critical theory) on Semiotics studies.
