Abstract

This article has a semiotic view of the poetic expression and it´s based on the poem “Coisa em si não existe”and its images, that are part of the poet Arnaldo Antunes´and the photographer Marcia Xavier´s book ET Eu Tu. The following codes will be analyzed: verbal (poetry) and non – verbal (photographs) and their semisymbolic fusion, which will be turned into a new code: the visual poetry.
