Abstract

This article aims to position Brazil according to its cultural influence. For such, it utilizes data from a study resulting from a partnership between the BAV Group, the Wharton School of Pennsylvania University and the U.S. News & World Report. Based on this data, a cluster analysis was conducted to put Brazil’s cultural influence in perspective and place it in relation to the other countries in the original study, to its own cluster and to the South American countries, highlighting the elements in which the country’s performance was better or worse. The results were pitted against concepts discussed in the literature used, which focused on discussions about place and cultural image as values, that is, means to understand the connections between the findings and the possibilities for Brazil’s development.
