Abstract

This article proposes an analysis over Paulínia, city localized in São Paulo State, Brazil, and its Film Production Pole as known as the “Brazilian Hollywood”, aiming the evaluation of public investments usage and taxes incentives, created by latest city governments, not only to provide social inclusion and improvements, but also economical, and cultural development through movie business (local motion picture productions). The analysis is based on cultural polices described in specialized literature, on Paulínia’s citizens opinions, under the evaluation done by cultural producers who effectively use those taxes incentives and on the potential and viability of its expansion to other cities.
