Abstract

The objectives of this research are to: highlight the mechanisms that hinder the implementation of Law 10.639, giving visibility to children African descent, and identify the new social relations that emerged between the actors of the educational process. Having as a research relationship exists between teachers, students and community in a public school elementary education in the State of Sao Paulo located in the Park Peruche, the guarantees of cultural visibility of African descent proposed by Law 10,639 / 2003. The purpose of the law is to determine which schools, public and private, work content of African history and culture and African-Brazilian in their curricula, giving visibility to people African descent. Living with the differences guaranteeing all the rights that our constitution guarantees every citizen, consisting of a step to building a true democracy.
